IDESO is proud to announce the launch of our own Endoscope Drying storage cabinet called the IDESO ENDO D3. The first IDESO ENDO D3 cabinet was commissioned at the Stellenbosch University’s new Bronchoscopy Laboratory during November 2020.

In the Endoscopy procedure, a thin long tube is directly inserted into a patient to observe an internal organ or tissue in detail. It can be used to carry out other tasks including imaging and minor surgery.

Endoscope drying cabinets are of essential importance as they ensure endoscopes are ready for immediate use and can be stored for extended periods without having to be disinfected prior to reuse.

The IDESO ENDO D3 draws in ambient air which is sterilized using a HEPA filter. The sterilized air flows into the endoscope storage chamber creating both positive pressure and laminar air flow. This keeps the cabinet and the endoscopes sterile and free from bacteria. Stainless steel and non porous materials are used to ensure all surface are easy to clean and be kept dry. Each endoscope is provided with its own set of tubing connectors used to purge sterilised compressed air through the inside of the scope as well.

The modular design allows us to change the configuration to allow for 3, 4 or 6 scopes with ease.

IDESO’s Endo D3 cabinet is substantially more cost effective than internationally imported units.
